wheee... bums.

i think i'm going to become a travel bum. seriously. no more college. verrrrrrry expensive, kinda silly, a lot of drinking. so. clearly the next choice is becoming a travel bum. or at least bum around for a year. take a year off... go around the world...



no really, i could do anything. there are these programs in south africa where i could take care of horses and lead rides for three months. or ride polo ponies in argentina for 2 months. some of the things pay, a few of them are just room and board, but basically i could do whatever i wanted. i could also just go around the world, and stay for as long as i wanted in each spot.

there's this girl i was reading about who just went and lived as a street performer for a year... korea, switzerland... everywhere. it would be so much fun.

and my family is so funny and fab. i told my dad i was seriously considering becoming a bum, and he's like "well, it'd be interesting. and if you decided that's what you wanted to do for a while, you wouldn't have to come back to school. or you could. whatever. you'd have to write a lot tho." heart my parents.

realllllllllly excited.

and all the sites i'm looking at are british, so they're hysterical. and i have british friends, and the birtish always take gap years, so they could come with me... or all of you. come on. lets go be bums. look at gapyear.com, it's tres cool.

and i'm spent.

EDIT-that's it. i most definitely HAVE TO GO. a round the world air fare ticket is $1000. that's it. all the way around. and like 90% of the world is cheaper than the US, so you can stay everywhere for under $10. $1000... all the way around the world.
